This pattern, “Winter Vines,” is a color alteration of Ring of Angels, which in turn was made from a piece of my Forest Spirit original painting. I’ve somewhat detailed the process of creating the pattern on the “Ring of Angels” page, and there’s more information in Creating Digital Color Variations and Creating Patterns. As is usual with my spirals, if you look closer you can see some hard lines where the squares I used to make the pattern overlap. It’s a nod to the original painting’s form.
